One of our favourite activities we enjoy doing is going to the local farmers market of the city we are visiting.
While we were exploring the city of Krakow, we discovered one!
We saw some interesting buildings and a notice outside.
Not able to read Polish, we went in to find out more about these buildings.
The market we saw was called Stary Kleparz.
It was founded in the mid 14th century.
It is the oldest continually operating market in Krakow.
There were many stalls neatly lined up in rows selling all kinds of items such as dry food.
Many local farmers bring their fresh flowers and produces to this market which opens: Monday - Friday from
6am - 6 pm, with shortened hours on the weekend.

We found the prices of the fresh fruits and vegetables incredibly cheap here.
Our Canadian dollars could be stretched pretty far in this market.
I had no problem sticking to my almost vegan diets in Krakow and we bought a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables back to our place.
We also found traditional Polish food here and we never missed an opportunity to try new food!
The small shop even provided seating for its customers.
The market also sells clothes, shoes, household items and small appliances.
Besides buying a lot of fresh fruits, I bought a pair of pants and S. got some nice socks.
It was a fun and pleasant experience visiting
Stary Kleparz - Krakow's oldest market!
This farmers market is worth a visit for tourists to Krakow.

P.S. After visiting the market, we went to the square and bought tickets for a show and underground city tour for the next day.
