Trying Some Delicious Fresh Seafood in a Potsdam Shopping Mall, Germany

Day 2 - Potsdam, Germany

We visited a UNESCO site in Potsdam, Germany

We saw a lot the day before in Potsdam.
We enjoyed visiting the famous UNESCO palaces and gardens.

Having spent a night at the B Hotel by the Potsdam train station, we were up at 8:30a.m. the next morning.  J. joined us for breakfast at the hotel breakfast area

The breakfast was good as I was able to eat a fruit salad, a sandwich I made with some whole wheat bread , cucumber and hard boiled egg whites with no meat, cheese or any dairy products.
















The hotel was only 200 meters from the train station and a shopping mall. We went shopping there/

Resisting these delicious pastries was difficult in Germany

I was happy that I could continue my near vegan diet while vacationing in Germany, very proud of myself for not being tempted by all the rich wonderful food, pastries and gelatos surrounding us each day.

A great seafood place in Potsdam 

Always looking for something healthy and different to eat, we discovered one store in particular that caught our attention.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a fish restaurant offering fresh seafood such as shrimps, scallops and pan fried fish dishes on their menu

A healthy delicious lunch at the shopping mall !

 We try to avoid eating deep fried or fatty food. Instead of eating tofu all the time, I could have some real meat in Potsdam!

 




We ordered some fish for lunch.

A seafood salad 

We never expected that the seafood we ordered from a fast food take out restaurant located in a 
shopping mall could be so delicious. Amazing!

We saw many nice shops at the Potsdam shopping mall selling various items. 

Browsing in different stores,  we spent a couple of  hours shopping for some clothes with European designs.  I  got some nice clothes at great prices!

We enjoyed our short stay in Potsdam, and were ready to move on to our next destination in Germany!
