Enjoying a Jazz Concert at Luneburg's Wassertrum, Germany

This was our second day in Luneburg, Germany.

Beautiful medieval buildings in Luneburg, Germany

We were awed by what we saw in this well preserved medieval town.

We saw many beautiful interesting buildings in this city.

We've became loyal customers to this B hotel chain in Europe.

We discovered a  new comfortable hotel in Germany with air conditioning . We have become its loyal customer.

J. got up at the same time as us for breakfast.

The day before, we saw a notice advertising a jazz concert the next day at the water tower in town.

Walking to Luneburg's Wasserturm

My husband  is a jazz fan, so we decided to attend this jazz concert at Luneburg's Wasserturm.

However, the concert was sold out, Seeing that we really wanted to attend this concert, the nice man at the tower sold us the last three tickets.

Extra chairs were set up for die hard fans of the concert

We were given two folding chairs to carry up to the second floor. The staff on the second floor brought us an extra chair when we asked for one.

The concert was held on the second floor of the tower.

Not a big area, the hall was full to its capacity with about seventy people in attendace.

The hall was filled to capacity. We got tickets & sat by the door.

We waitied for a few minutes and the concert started right on time.

The musician  was from the States; he did not want any pictures taken during his performance.

A local artist's art pieces were displayed in the hallway

He performed a variety of songs from different eras. I am not a serious jazz fan like my husband, but I still enjoyed the good jazz music.

After the hour and half long concert, we walked up to the 6th floor of the tower.

From there then walked up to the top of the tower.

View of Luneburg from the top of  the Wassertrum.

From the top of the tower, we had a good view of Luneburg and its surrounding area.

The 10 euros included the admission to the top of the tower. It was good value for money with the concert.

Traveling with J. in Europe was great!

He was so good in using technology to navigate our ways through every city in Germany.

Using the app on his cell, he was able to lead us everywhere.

He also encouraged us to walk and keep going when we didn't feel like walking.

Salt Museum, Luneburg, Germany

After the jazz concert and with J. leading the way, we visited the salt museum.

Salt crystals displayed at the salt museum in Luneburg

We had a tour  of the salt museum.

Through the audio tour learn about its history of salt mining and its impact on the town.

Learning about the salt mine at the Luneburg Museum.

It was an educational tour and we had an enjoyable day!
