We arrived at the Ugandan parliament building at around 10am. Jonah and Muhai were already there waiting for us. We needed to clear security before entering the building.

A huge wood craved mural depicting the various animals symbolizing the different Ugandan tribes greets visitors to the government building.
The assistant gave us a tour of the main parliament building and gave us a brief history of the country.

He also took us into the chamber where the government sits to conduct its business during week days.
The chamber is in green, a colour symbolizing power in Uganda.
The Ugandan Parliament is modeled after the British system with the governing and opposition party.

It also has a public gallery where the public can come and view the parliament in session.
A group of school children were at the public gallery same time as we were.
Each presidential term lasts for 5 years.

Valerie, Dream Share's founder and organizer of our trip explained to the government the organization, missions and the charitable work Dream Share has been doing for the past few years.

We were honoured to have meet the House Speaker of Uganda.
Its our hope that in the future Dream Share Uganda will be able to get more support from its government to help the children in this region!
