congregants in the Kitchener/ Waterloo region.
This year, we were invited to stay at Tina's house. We received a five star treatment at their fabulous house, with a spacious private sleeping quarter, and a candlelight dinner on our second day.
I have not seen the twins, A. and C., for a couple of years. The boys have grown up to be polite, helpful, and healthy teens.
We had a memorable dinner last night at their house. The host family cooked up a storm and prepared for us many delicious dishes.
Over roasted duck, marinated beef and home made pastries, we had some great conversations with the family at the dinner table, trying to catch up with what has had happened since we last saw each other. We talked and talked enjoying each other's company. What a delightful family!
After dinner, the twin boys gave us a piano and flute performance in their family room.
The boys are excellent young musicians and have won provincial awards. We were glad that we had the opportunity to listen to them play.
Our host family could not do enough making sure that we were well fed and comfortable.
It was an enjoyable experience.
I have truly experienced the expression: "The more we give; the more we'll receive."
May God bless those who give!
