Day 1 - Our Trip to Vancouver, British Columbia

We were really busy the night before our departure for our next trip.
Since we were hosting three ministers from the U.S. at our house for almost a month, we bought quite a bit of food. However, they were also leaving Toronto same time as we were for a dew days, we had to get all the extra food prepared for freezing.  I was glad that we spent the time freezing the perishable groceries, otherwise much food would be wasted.

We left on an early flight for Vancouver.  I hardly slept at all for fear that we might miss our flight.
We met up with my sis at the Pearson Airport and took the flight together.

The flight was about 4 1/2 hours form Toronto to Vancouver.

We flew over the Rocky Mountains.
The view was spectacular!

We landed in Vancouver at a little after 9am, got our rental car at the airport and arrived at Per's house by 11am.

Since Peri was busy, we went for lunch ourselves at her suggested restaurant.
The little restaurant was very good, one of the best for Taiwanese food.
A few months ago, we tried the smoked pork hock, German style in Waterloo. This time we tasted pork hock, Taiwanese style right in Vancouver. It was the best we had ever tasted!

After lunch, we went to visit a famous mall and spent an afternoon there, taking it easy and sampling the various food offered.

I have not gone on a vacation with my sis, and am looking forward to spending more time together.
