Taking the Nature Hike Challenge at the Vancouver Hyatt

Sunday, Day 3

We were up early enough to have breakfast at the hotel's breakfast area and were surprised to see Ros. already having her breakfast there. Then E. followed not long after.
The breakfast was more than a continental breakfast as it had sausages, eggs etc.

Leaving Burnaby, E. checked into the downtown Vancouver Hyatt for his second day in Vancouver.

His room was nice with comfortable furnishings.

The hotel is located in downtown Vancouver close to everything.  Er.'s room had a great view of the waterfront of Vancouver.

The hotel is spacious and has good facilities with a good size gym and a Starbuck within its premises.

We initially planned to walk around downtown Vancouver and to enjoy the waterfront of this city.

Unfortunately, it was starting to rain cats and dogs. Therefore, we abandoned the idea.

Imagine our delight when we saw a sign that read

"Nature Hike Challenge "posted on one of the doors of the hotel!

That was exactly what we needed on a rainy day!

Always willing to take up a challenge, we followed the signs leading up to this nature hike challenge.

Ah, this was a different kind of hike.

We followed the signs and climbed the stairs expecting to see a garden or something outdoorsy.

But instead, we found paintings of outdoor themes all along the walls of the stairs.

There were no outdoor forests or gardens, but there were nice paintings of wild life and forest scenery.

It was a good workout for us and we liked this simulated nature hike challenge at the Hyatt Hotel in Vancouver.
