Desiring to have a more regular local San Francisco experience for the second week, we chose to stay at a more residential neighbourhood rather than in a tourist area.
Our decision brought us to the Fillmore neighborhood.
La Mediterranee, San Francisco |
After our lovely stroll around the area, we discovered a 2018 Reader' Choice restaurant.
La Mediterranee has been recognized and voted as the best Mediterranean in San Francisco.
Without hesitation we went in and ready to try some ethnic food.
A nice, warm and welcoming place to eat |
I loved the decorations there, very colourful, warm and welcoming.
We enjoyed a happy hour drink and appetizers at La Mediterranee. |
Many bars and restaurants in North America offer some kinds of specials during their Happy Hours, between 4 pm to 6pm. We were eager to sample a few appetizers at this restaurant.
We ordered a combination plate consisted of Hummos, Baba Ghanoush and Tabuleh. We also tried some chicken, spinach, and ground beef Fillos, some falafel and a couple of Levant sandwiches.
We enjoyed the happy hour experience so much that we went back for lunch. |
We liked the appetizers served at the Happy Hours so much that we went back there for lunch the next day before we visited the Jewish temple in the area.
We both enjoyed the food; S. was happy as he was the one who discovered this great eatery!
