Ghirardelli Square, San Francisco, is More Than Chocolates; a Fun Place for Families!

Ghirardelli Square, San Francisco

After visiting the Maritime Museum, we went to the Ghirardelli Square located just a few steps away.

A miniature of At& T Stadium at the minigolf

We saw a mini golf course on the lower level of the Ghirardelli Marketplace building.

Miniature colourful houses of San Francisco at a mini golf course

The mini golf was designed and constructed using some of the famous landmarks of San Francisco

Lombard Street was one of the stations at the mini golf

We saw a miniature of the A T& T Stadium, Lombard Street - the crookedest street in the world with eight sharp turns, along with the colourful San Francisco houses on a steep street.

We also saw a miniature of the tallest skyscraper of San Francisco - the Trans America Building at the mini golf.

I like playing mini golf ; part of the fun for me is enjoying the different designs and scenery where we play the game.

We went up to the main level to enjoy the famous chocolate drinks at the Ghirardelli Square.
We chatted with E. about our trips and had a fun conversation about a TV game show called Child Support over our hot beverages.

A few days ago, we were at the square and it was much quieter then.

Playing a bean bag throwing game at the Ghirardelli Square, S.F.

We browsed around in the shops, tried our hands at the games that were set out for visitors such as the bean bag toss.

Yep! I did it!

I was able to throw my bean bag into the opening after a couple of attempts therefore scoring a few points.

S. was happy that he scored points too in the game!

S. tried the game and scored the points too!

It was exciting when you could win in a game!

A game for children at the Ghirardelli Square

On a child size picnic outside a shop at the square, there was another game set up for the little ones.

It was a Tic Tac Toe game made up by four strips of masking tapes taped to the table.  There were nine painted stones with the symbols on them.

What a simple way to have an outdoor game ready for the children. Good idea!

Ghirardelli Square is a fun place for families. Everytime we visit the city, we always pay a visit there as well.

Entrance to our new home for the second week of our stay in SF

After our visit there, E. helped us checked into a bed and breakfast inn for our second week in the city.
