Dow's Lake
Though we visited Ottawa a few time over the years, I didn't remember visiting Dow's Lake at all.
Marg was working and D. had his own program today, so we drove to Dow's Lake ourselves after dropping her off at her office building.
Quiet, beautiful, surrounded by green grass and mature trees, Dow's Lake is a man made lake located in the urban area of the city of Ottawa, at the corner of Preston and Carling Ave.

There is a boardwalk along the water where people can stroll, jog or run at their leisure.

During certain months of the year, visitors can rent pedal boats and other water recreational equipment from the dock.

I would love to try kayaking next time we visit Dow's Lake.
Dow's Lake is a peaceful and beautiful place to visit and unwind any time of the day as there are so many activities one can do in the park. One can be doing water sports, strolling or bike riding along the lake.

Numerous lounge chairs were placed throughout the lake front area for visitors to sit and relax on the day we visited.
This is a beautiful urban park for the residents of Ottawa.

Not long after we were in the park,we saw a family of Canada geese out for a stroll.
A mama goose stands guard watchfully while her goslings feeding by the edge of Dow's Lake.

We enjoyed our visit to Dow's Lake and will definitely plan for a longer visit next time when we are here.
