Beautiful displays of colours at the local stores |
Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons in Canada!
It is also my favorite season.
Fall flowers are in full bloom this time of the year! |
The temperature is cool and comfortable, air is crisp; the colours of the leaves are brilliant and the scenery is spectacular.
We visited a couple of local crafts shops |
We love our drive to the countryside and admire the colourful displays in the local stores.
On our way up north, we stopped and visited a couple of places.
The stores were decorated with autumn flowers in full bloom.
Bracebridge is where our little cabin is and it always gives us great pleasure when we are visiting this small town.
Downtown Bracebridge, Ontario |
We used to rush there on the weekend, fighting the traffic and waited patiently in the traffic jam.
Since both of us are retirees, we could leave the city behind ahead of everyone else avoiding the traffic.
Bracebridge is a small town with a population of around fifteen thousand people.
Waterfront, Bracebridge, Ontario |
We are always so anxious getting to our little piece of paradise that we rarely take time out to visit this quaint little town.
Bracebridge Falls, Bracebridge, Ontario |
A lone sculpture standing in the middle of the Bracebridge Falls |
The historic trail along the Bracebridge waterfront |
We also strolled along the waterfront, enjoying our walk on the historic trail.
Blackeye Susans in full bloom on the trail |
We took time to pause, admire the fantastic scenery, enjoy the tranquil setting and smell the flowers!
My heart was singing and my spirit was lifted!
Recently, when we turn on the television to watch the news, it has been filled with tragic events with thousands of refugees fleeing from their home countries and natural disasters in numerous countries. Miserable images flood our media.
Bird's Mill Pumping Station, Bracebridge |
How lucky are we living in Canada!!!
Being in this peaceful environment surrounded by God's awesome creations, I felt so fortunate. My heart was filled with gratitude and thanksgiving!
