Frankie Tomato's - An Italian Buffet Restaurant, Markham, Ontario |
Toronto and its immediate surrounding cities are very multicultural. We welcome immigrants from the four corners of the world. Consequently, Torontonians are fortunate and can easily taste food from many different countries.

My mother turned 88th last weekend. We took turn taking her out and celebrated with her on her big day. For one of the birthday dinners, we went out for an Italian dinner.
Celebrating Mom's 88th Birthday at a Italian feast |
I have always liked the ambiance of this place as it is spacious, warm and welcoming.
An Italian musician serenaded diners at Frankie Tomato's |
This is a buffet restaurant with food stations set up for each of the following food items : soups, salads, antipasti, meat, pasta, potatoes, pizzas, ice creams, freshly baked cakes and pastries etc.
Having been ushered to our reserved table, we all went to our favorite food stations and started the difficult task of choosing which food to fill our plates while serenaded by beautiful live Italian music.
Frankie Tomato's staff sang happy birthday to a customer |
There were a good variety of mouthwatering dishes served at the restaurant and we enjoyed the food and time spent with family a lot.
The highlight of the dinner for my mother was when the musician and the staff came around and sang for her. Though normally mom is a shy person, she loved the attention that was given to her! We were glad that she did not seem to mind it at all!
Grand kids celebrated birthday with grandma |
Though Er. missed his cousin's wedding last week, he was able to get home in time from S.F. and joined us in his grandma's birthday dinner.
Family celebrations have always been important for him as he tries his best to return home for these events regardless of where is at the time.
A great family get together and a fun birthday dinner for my mother!
