The Party Room at Danielle & Mike's Condo |
We went to Danielle's bridal shower held last Sunday at her condo's party room in downtown Toronto.
Friends & relatives share the joy with the bride to be |
It is a joyful and fun event celebrated with friends and relatives.
Amy - Danielle's sister was in charge of the bridle shower games |
The shower events are usually organized either by close friends or family members to honour the bride or mother to be.
What is a party without food? A few of us brought food to share and celebrate with each other.
An edible flower arrangement decorating the food table at the shower |
This was a beautiful pot of flowers made of delicious cupcakes decorated as various kinds of flowers. It looked really real sitting on the one end of the food table. I did not even know that the flowers were not real until everybody started taking one and eating it!
This shower was a lady's event with a few interesting games. As each guest arrived, each one was given four clothes pins and guests were told that the forbidden word was wedding at this party.
Every time someone said the word, she would give away a clothes pin to whoever was around and heard it.
Game Time! |
Joanne was the smart one who tricked people in saying the forbidden word" Wedding".
Another game that picked people's brains was the word scramble on words related to a wedding.
I am never good at unscrambling words but it was fun trying to figure out those mumble jumble senseless words.
Another fun game was when we searched our own purse trying to score the most points by finding the items as listed on the " What's in Your Purse?"
It was great to meet Danielle's friends at the party. Even her boss and the boss's mother also attended the shower! How nice was that!
Monica was the winner of this game as she had the most items matching the list. Lucky girl!
The most fun part of the Bridal Shower for the bride was opening the presents brought to her by the guests!

A handmade apron for Danielle |
Opening the gifts was fun for Danielle, but it was also fun for us too.
I love watching people opening their gifts and being happy as I also share in their happiness.
One of the guests' interesting footwear! |
It was a fun afternoon for the ladies to get together and share in the happiness of Danielle's pending wedding.
We also had some fun admiring other people's lovely shoes!
