Petite Auberge Hotel- A Lovely French Country Inn in the Downtown of San Francisco

Petite Auberge has been voted as one of the best places to stay
Located in downtown SF and convenient to a lot of the attractions, Petite Auberge is  a wonderful hotel to stay while visiting SF.  Being budget conscious, my husband  and Always stayed at more affordable  accommodations such as roadside motels while traveling,

This beautiful accommodation was a a Christmas gift to us by our older son, who lives in The states. As soon he learned that we were visiting SF, he sent us this thoughtful gift.

We like this place very much. It is decorated in a French country inn style with a very spacious and cosy living area where guests could relax and sip a cup of hot beverage provided to them 24 hour a day,

A cosy and comfortable nook for reading

I always love how Europeans and the Japanese way of decorating small space and making it beautiful and inviting.

Though small, the little alley way at the back of the hotel, accessible by a French door from the basement level, has been transformed into an oasis with climbing ivy's on the trellis covering the concrete wall, planters with greenery along with stone animal sculptures and rustic over-sized wooden chairs created a welcoming green environment where one would like to linger and relax.
A specious sitting room for guests to relax

The spacious sitting room on the basement level with its floral wall paper and light yellow furnishing is warm and comfortable for guests to just, sit, read and relax.

The eating area where a delicious buffet breakfast is served

It just happened that my husband was not feeling so well after our long walk in the Golden Gate Park the day before. He needed to rest for a day and what better place to do it than in the Petite Auberge!

Er came bright and early at 830a.m. and we had a delicious breakfast buffet together and chatted  a bit about his life on the west coast and his plan for the next little while.

He left after a nice long breakfast and we stayed indoor for most of the day until 2p.m. and enjoyed the amenities in this cosy and comfortable Inn right in the downtown of San Francisco!
