Enjoying Nature and Building Friendship on Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail, Canada

Canadians are very lucky! We live in a vast country with spectacular scenery and landscapes. Wherever we turn, we can find nature everywhere - majestic mountains, dense forests, incredible quiet and peaceful lakes, snow covered mountains, well protected national parks, affordable camping grounds, serene and walkable trails not too far from where we live.
My hubby and I love to hike and we walk regularly on a weekly basis. During the May long weekend, we joined our friends in Waterloo and hiked on the trails at Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail. It was a sunny mild weather day, perfect for hiking. We met our friends at the entrance of the trail and started our walk otgether. The trail we chose took about 2 hours to complete. At the beginning I thought I would be quite tired upon completing the walk.
Since we had a group of people walking together, we were able to have different walking buddies throughout the entire walk. When I stopped to take pictures, I fell behind the first group of people with whom I was talking. Then I picked up my pace and joined another group of friends. As this happened a few times, it gave me the opportunites joining different groups and talking to many different people.I ended up talking to everyone in the group and got to know them better throughout this 2 hour hike! It was an enjoyable hike and the two hours flew by in no time!
Thank God for such a lovely day to walk and talk with our friends! RT, VICKI BARRON lAKESIDE TRAIL Ontario, Canada 05212025
