Enjoying Live Music and a Hamburger Meal in Xi'an, China At Night

This was a rest day for me as I was feeling tired, coughing and a bit of lightheaded We all felt a little under the weather with S. coughing seriously during the night. His coughing was so bad that it kept Y. up most of the night. Y. was worried that S. could be suffering from pneumonia therefore he took him to the local hospital to see a doctor while I stayed in the hotel to get as much rest as possible. After a few hours, they came back happily informing me that the doctor at the doctor did an x ray and some blood work on S. who was found with no infection of any kind. He felt so relieved after the medical report that both of them went inside the old city and visited a museum. We all felt much better after the clean bill of health for S. given by the doctor.
Since I felt better, we went out for the evening. The city of Xi'an was just as busy, if not busier than during the day. The night view of the city walls was spectacular!
The entire city wall was all lit up like a brilliant Christmas tree. I couldn't get over how bright the Chinese cities were at night. I rarely heard about energy/ electricity shortage when visiting China. Not exactly sure from where China gets its electrical power. Walking around at night in the ancient city of Xi'an had a very different feel indeed.
We went out to a bar restaurant in the old town where we had some western style food, some nice fresh salad with meat, bacon burger, French fries and off course to wash all these down with beer!
Y. chose this restaurant because it offered some live music entertainment. Sitting at the back, we could enjoy the familiar western music as well as some good conversation. A lady waiting for a table standing close to us overheard our conversation and asked us where we were from. From then we started and engaged in a good conversation.
She even tried to help us to get tickets to see the famous terracotta warriers. It was nice meeting a friendly and helpful Chinese person in a strange city where we visited.
There were many nice eating places right beside the bar/ restaurant where we ate. It was interesting to see the waiting staff all dressed up in Chinese traditional clothes. Many of the tourists did as well!
We went back to the hotel after dinner. Y. went back out to do some night crawl. I woke up at 3 am and he was not back at the hotel yet. I was worried and texted him who told me he met a couple of other tourists and were drinking with them in a bar. I felt better and went back to sleep. Thank God for His protection on my loved ones!
