Admiring Great Architecture in Downtown Buffalo

A cathedral in downtown Buffalo, NY, YSA

I am always interested in architecture.

We visited this cathedral in downtown Buffalo , USA

One of the things I get excited about on our travel is seeing and admiring the different types and styles of buildings of the city we are visiting.

We took part in a noon mass on a week day.

One of the buildings we often take time out to visit for a few minutes are the local churches or cathedrals.

We went into this church not far from the City Hall.  Lucky for us,  was about 12pm and there a mass was happening in a few minutes.
We stayed and took part in the mass.

It was a working day and we were surprised to see more than a dozen and half people came for the noon mass in the side chapel.

Buffalo has a few magnificent churches. There are a few just a stone throw away from the Buffalo City Hall.

Besides beautiful churches, Buffalo also has many spectacular buildings with architectural details.

I was delighted and kept busy looking at all these details on top of the m,nay buildings we saw in downtown Buffalo.

This small balcony looked so cute on a huge downtown building.

We saw this interesting structure (not sure what it was) from the Observation Deck of the Buffalo City Hall.

This row of round structures outside the Buffalo City Hall reminded me of the similar architecture we saw in Burgos, Spain, almost a decade ago.

After living in southern Ontario for the past three decades,  we finally visited Buffalo, neighbouring city to our south. We saw a few interesting things and some great architecture in this city. We were not disappointed at all  on this short trip!
